The Vango Atlas Junior is a great summer sleeping bag for children that will see them through to their early teens (max user height of 145cm). Ideal for school camps, holidays with friends and family, and for sleep overs. This stylish design includes reflective prints and a 2-way zip that opens from the top or bottom for ventilation versatility.
To maximise warmth, this is a mummy-shaped sleeping bag that is wider at the chest and narrower at the feet. This also means that it packs small into its drawstring stuff sack. The shaped hood has an elasticated opening (better for safety than a drawcord) so that the child can snuggle inside with the hood over their head to prevent heat loss.
A combination of hollow fibre and polyester are used for the fill and s-stitching is used to hold this insulating fibre in place for an even distribution across the body.
This sleeping bag can be used throughout summer and certainly in our South African spring and autumn months too. Use with a sleeping bag liner to keep the inside clean and to increase the temperature rating.
This sleeping bag is recommended by The Scout Association.
